New Product from Bay Hammer

You heard right, Bay Hammer is releasing a new line of flocking and basing material in May. Over the past several months we have been working on a exclusive deal with our Hosts and business contacts over at Legends of Comics and Games in Cupertino CA to bring you this new premium line of basing material. The flocking itself was developed and made by Ian, leading contributing editor and long time associate of BH. He developed a process that is both economic and eco friendly and enables us to create a high grade basing material without the need for a large production facility or indeed any machinery. If your wondering how its done **CENSORED**

Going Green:
And we are not talking orks (though our current range works well with them) No I am talking about a basing material that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is eco friendly. The flocking itself is made from all natural materials not finely chipped or shredded foam core. The stuff will actually biodegrade if mixed with potting soil or mulch. We know that a majority of "green products" are bull but I couldn't resist throwing this little bit in.

Affordability:
We talked with the guys over at the shop and decided on a final whopping price of $2.00US That's about $2 cheaper then GF9 range and about $7 cheaper then GW and you get more then you would in a regular GW tub.

**While BH dose not have any current plans to sell online during the trial sales we may contact our partners at WCC to help reach those who are not Bay Area locals.**

The products pictured above shows our current range of colors, Dry Brush, Forest Floor and Mixed Green. We are working on making a selection of darker toned basing as well.

Remember you can only get BH brand flocking at Legends of Comics and Games in Cupertino CA while we run trial sales.

Cheers

The army so far

So Ive been working on painting up my blood angels, I recently painted up all my Baal predators, and a sanguinor. I have a sanguinary guard squad, assault squad, and the rest of death company to do, as well as my sanguinary priests. anyways heres some photos of what i have done. :

Im looking forward to finishing everything up, its coming along. I need to pick up the sanguinary priests, death company box, assault marines, and im thinking about picking up Mephiston. Also the store this friday we will be workshopping, so we will be painting, building, talking about stuff. and on Saturday, we will be doing more games so if you want to stop by and play a game please do. anyways stay awesome :)

Back in the game

Its been months since my last gaming post and almost as long since I have picked up a brush. But over the past week I have been working on a project at the store and going through the grueling process of uncovering all my pieces (which have up until now been packed away in my closet under an assortment of heavy objects) Now though I have about 70% of my unfinished stuff un boxed and on the work bench. Ill keep things short, not really much to post about tonight.

Anyways here is a pic of some kasrkin, not anything fancy so far just base layer. Going to do shading and detailing tomorrow.

Cheers

An Ode

To the young and to the old, to those who started playing a game and instead helped build a community.
To cramped back rooms with no air conditioning where we whiled away our youth for the thrill of battle.
To old friends and new enemies without either the game would be empty.
To late nights and sore wrists and painted fingers.
To those who lust for carnage and for those who sit in deep contemplation.
To the Nerds, geeks,Brits, yanks, freaks, artists, visionaries, modelers and bartenders, for again without you the game is empty.

Finally to everyone who ever spent months eating ramen to finance a new army, to any one who ever spent a semesters worth of Saturdays in a dimly lit room blasting Zeppelin and banging out a division, and to anyone who's forces where lost to marriage but re discovered by a son or daughter.

Some times its hard to tell some one why you do this, its hazardous to your health and your wallet, and at times can seem a bit foolish. But when all is said and done and the field of battle is cleared and all the drinks are gone, one cant help but sit back and feel like for a few hours they grabbed a piece of something greater, and we didn't even have to leave our living room. And that is the reason most every one dose anything at all, the simple answer is its fun, the deeper reason is passion. It differs from person to person but indeed when the dice start to roll one cannot help but imagine the roar of cannon or the whine of a las.

So for what ever reason you play this goes out to you, and if ever you feel the need to be vindicated just remember, we are all in this together, so might as well have some fun along the way.

Cheers

P.S.
I will be returning to regular writing in my own witty and over all brash manner, and more to the point I will be getting back to playing. So stay tuned while I bang on things behind the curtain to try and keep things going.

My answer to a storm raven, and what we are doing at the store this week

Hey guys, Ian here. ive been working on a storm raven for the past days. so far ive basically kit-bashed a valkarie and heavy weapons from a predator. it looks fairly decent so far, made a scenic base for it depicting a dwindling assault marine squad with a wounded battle brother. Its looking good so far and i cant wait to finish it this weekend. here are some photos of said stormraven :

Also at the store on friday and saturday, we are going to work on the terrain and painting figures. I have 3 more Baal predators and a whole lot of other stuff to assemble and paint. So stop by the store if you are in the area and hang out with us as we work on and talk about 40k.
Other than that keep on being awesome :)

Moar random things happening at the store thats 40k related!

Sorry for the late post, I was really tired last night, so as you all know blood angels were released and I got to work on the sanguinary guard and death company for the store, I bought two new dreadnaughts to make a death company and a normal dreadnaught, I have not been able to purchase my baal predators yet but I plan on doing that this weekend. I am still working on terrain for the store, I just need to paint up and flock the two hills. i also need to purchase some colors for the bastions and the fortress of redemption to get those painted up. I will be at the store on friday and saturday working on the terrain or playing a game or two on sat. So stop by, and maybe we can get a game or two in :)

models up in the store, a death company dread w/magnagrapple

Ay so its ian, and I finished up the sanguinary guard and the death company, and now they are in the store, so if you are in the area check it out and let me know how they look via comment (my camera on my phone is crap and once i get a new cable or card reader for my camera things will be better). Also i picked up two dreadnaughts. One is a venerable, and one is an ironclad. So i was able to make a Death company dread with a magnagrapple (the new upgrade for the furioso dread that acts like the demon prince's lash) and a nice looking normal dread with las/plasma/assault cannons, and I think they will look awesome painted up. I plan on getting a couple Baal predators as soon as the angels are released and hopefully get them painted up right after they are all dry from assembly. Other than that i am looking forward to painting up the new dreads and getting my hands on the baal predators, and ill keep you posted on what is happening at the store.
